Andrew and Carly Candlewood along with their son Danny travel from California, Mexico, for a much needed vacation. When stories of missing children, along with the legend of La Llorona, soon surround their trip, they realize that it isn’t what they expect.
La Llorona is described by the evil spirit of a distraught mom who lurks near water’s edge, and inflicts fear on the hearts of those who see her. The spirit terrorizes the Candlewood family and kidnaps Danny. Their resourceful taxi driver Jorge and their family race to rescue Danny. Together, they will have to navigate the spirit’s power and the roaming cartel thugs.
The Legend of La Llorona saw a limited theater opening on January 7, 20,22. It was streamed on January 11th.
Rotten Tomatoes shows that 7% of 15 reviewers’ reviews are positive with an average rating 3.1/10.
