Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers is a 2022 American live-action/computer-animated action-adventure comedy film based on the characters Chip and Dale and continuation of the animated TV series of the same name. Akiva Schaffer directed the film and Doug Mand wrote the script. Andy Samberg and KiKi Layne are the voices of the titular couple.

The film is a coproduction of Walt Disney Pictures, Todd Lieberman’s Mandeville Films producers and Walt Disney Pictures. It also features Schaffer and Samberg. The film is set in a world in which fictional characters from movies, cartoons and other media live alongside human beings. It centers on Chip and Dale who, thirty years after their show was cancelled, return to reconcile their differences and investigate the kidnappings of Monterey Jack and their friend.
Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers premiered at Hollywood on May 16, 2022. The original film was also released in the United States by Disney+ on May 20, 2022. It received positive reviews from critics because of its humor, voice acting, meta-commentary, and voice acting. The film won Outstanding Television Movie at Primetime Emmy Awards 74th.
Chip and Dale are best friends, in a world that is both human and animated characters. They meet in elementary school. Later, they relocate to Hollywood, where they become best friends and star as extras in commercials. The two of them have a falling-out, which results in both shows being cancelled.
Chip is an insurance salesman who has become disillusioned, but he’s still a highly successful thirty-year-old. Dale, on the other hand, spends most of his time attending fan conventions. Monterey Jack (a former Rescue Rangers star) contacts the pair and informs them that he owes money for his disgusting cheese addiction to the criminal Valley Gang. Monty warns the couple of a trafficking scheme where toons, who are then kidnapped, are altered and shipped overseas to create bootlegs for the rest their lives. They are told that Monty was kidnapped later that night. They meet Officer Ellie Steckler (Police Captain Putty) and Officer Ellie Steckler (Officer Ellie Steckler). The latter turns out to be a huge Rescue Rangers supporter and suggests Chip and Dale conduct an investigation on their own.
